It didn't take long for Van Kleiss to make the connection between Violetta Salazar and Rex, it was really obvious to him, he knew the boy's parents well enough to realize it that this was their son. He was sure anyone else would have realized it to if they managed to take the time.
And he knew that the boy would seek answers. It was in nature of people's memories if they had lost some to seek answers. The man just had to wait for the boy to show up.
And if he wanted the answer, he would have to pay

Rex was walking along the beach looking out at the ocean. Watching the waves turn in motion. He had so many questions and yet he knew he would have to be careful if he ever did run into Kleiss again. He wanted to know who he was. He kept walking along the beach.

The sound of faint footsteps caused the man to turn a little bit and notice a figure walking along the beach and watching the waves. Hmm. No doubt it was someone seeking advice. There was tension in the air.

Rex stopped and turned around. He noticed a dark figure behind him. He was petrified and he knew from the goosebumps along his back, who it was. He stood still and turned his head toward the ocean.

"I have yet to see you on the beach. You must be so busy as an x-man." Van Kleiss replied giving him a small smirk, the effect he had on people never ceased to amuse him, especially on people so young.

"Uh yeah. Pretty much." said Rex calmly and trying to hide the fact that he was scared to death of Kleiss.

Van Kleiss gave the boy a raised eyebrow. "I am guessing since you are actually talking to me, you want answers, based on what i told you a few days ago."

"Yes." said Rex. He felt like six inches tall.

"Alright." said Rex. He didn't trust Kleiss one bit, but he had to know. "After you."

Van Kleiss nodded and started walking away from the beach towards an abandoned beach house. "It's the only place i know that's around here..." he gave teh boy a nod. "Forgive me ifs a little creepy but its the only place with chairs."

"It's fine." said Rex looking around. It was a little bit creepy, but that didn't matter. All that mattered were answers and being cautious.

Van Kleiss nodded and took a seat. "So, what is your first question Rex?" he asked carefully. "Bare in mind i can have the right to deny to answer a question."

Rex took a seat. "Do you know anything about my past?" asked Rex.

"That's quite a vague question, but i suppose i can't deny it." Van Kleiss said. "Yes, i do. I knew your parents, they were quite inteligent people, in fact you are quite a lot like your mom, hotheaded, stubborn and quick on your feet." his red gold eyes flashed a bit. "As for what happened to your parents, that's a different tale, but if you are willing to listen to it...it might help explain your mysterious machine powers."
